WindEnergy Hamburg opened by Vice-Chancellor Gabriel

Federal Minister Sigmar Gabriel official inaugurated the leading international trade fair Wind Energy Hamburg on Monday evening, a premiere for Hamburg. Wind energy has established itself worldwide, both from an economic and from an energy policy perspective, said the German Vice-Chancellor. This is a great success, and last but not least, a result of a furious development of the past 20 years, especially in Germany. From 23 to 26 September, WindEnergy Hamburg will offer the global industry an ideal platform for dialogue and showcase new products and innovative technologies and services for the entire wind power sector, onshore and offshore.

The leading trade fair showcases at its premiere more than 1,200 exhibitors from more than 30 countries covering the entire value chain. On the Hamburg fair grounds, 18 nations pavilions industry displays competences and companies of different countries, confirming that wind power is strong, be it from Denmark to Turkey, or from the USA to Japan and China.
