The Dutch Winddays on 15 – 16 June drew some 2,000 visitors from the Netherlands and abroad. The growth of the annual exhibition and conference on wind energy shows strong growth of the clean and renewable energy sector.
On the first day of this year’s Winddays Minister Henk Kamp of Economic Affairs in his keynote speech expressed widespread support for more wind energy in the Netherlands. During the Winddays the results of the five-year R & D innovation FLOW (Far and Large Offshore Wind) on cost reduction for offshore wind energy was published. The Netherlands Wind Energy Association (NWEA) presented its vision of the development of wind power at sea and on land for next decade.
The Winddays are the main stage for the latest developments in policy, technology and society. The Winddays are organized by NWEA, TKI Offshore Wind (Top Consortium for Knowledge and Innovation Offshore Wind) and FLOW. Operating partners are Pondera Consult and Bosch & Van Rijn.
