October 30 (SeeNews) - Wind and solar power plants in Spain accounted for about 24.8% of the country’s power in the first 10 months of 2015, shows a report by grid operator Red Electrica de Espana (REE).
In October alone, wind farms reached a 19.9% share in the electricity mix. They generated 3,771 GWh, or 15.6% more than in the same month of 2014.
For the past month, 52.9% of Spain’s power was from zero-carbon plants, including 34.1% from renewable power stations. The table shows the share of different technologies in the mix.
