China’s NEA unveils directives to speed up offshore wind growth

China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) has issued a series of policy directives to expedite the development of offshore wind projects.

Approximately 165MW of offshore wind capacity was installed in the first half of 2015, according to Liming Qiao, China director of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).

The nation’s cumulative offshore wind capacity reached about 780MW at the end of June.
