About Irene

Irene Gitari is a Junior Project Officer at GWEC Africa WindPower (AWP), where she focuses on supporting the growth of wind energy across Africa. Her work involves coordinating project activities, ensuring grants are used effectively and within guidelines, and managing budgets to keep projects on track. She plays a key role in helping AWP achieve its mission of driving sustainable energy solutions in the region.

Irene holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Kenyatta University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). Her background in finance and project management gives her the skills needed to support impactful renewable energy projects across Africa.
