As India increasingly turns to clean energy to power its growing economy, wind energy is poised to provide the foundation of the Renewable Energy Program in India. The wind energy sector is India's largest and most successful renewable energy. Currently, India has an installed capacity of more than 27 GW of wind energy making it the 4th largest in the world. In 2015, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced a 60 GW target for wind power by 202, and to raise the share of non-fossil fuel power capacity in the power mix to 40% by 2030.
On this backdrop, our new industry event 'WINDERGY India' will take place from the 25-27 April 2017 in New Delhi.
