Feb 19, 2015 (SeeNews) - Wind farms in the UK generated 117,805 MWh of power in the 24 hours ended 0700 local time on Thursday, which represented 13% of the country’s total power output for the period.
According to National Grid (LON:NG) statistics, 34.7% of Britain’s power for the 24 hours under review came from coal-fired stations, 21.1% from nuclear power plants and 20.9% from combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power stations.
