Scaling up corporate commitment to renewable electricity on a global scale is a necessary enabler of the energy transition, with companies of all sizes now pledging to power their operations with 100% wind, solar and other forms of renewable energy. To accelerate this trend, GWEC and RE100, an initiative led by The Climate Group in partnership with CDP, are launching a new webcast series on “Corporates in the Global Energy Transition,” which will examine how corporate sourcing of renewable energy in emerging markets is transforming energy systems around the world.
Following the first webcast on 27 May, the series will include four more market-specific webcasts which examine corporate sourcing of renewable energy in India, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore/South East Asia, throughout 2020. Each of these market-specific webcasts will be followed by a virtual networking session open to corporate members of GWEC, RE100 and select associations.
