Raising female representation at industry events: Switch List for spokeswomen in the energy sector

Last June, RenewableUK created the Switch List – a living directory of spokeswomen from the energy sector to help industry engage better with diverse speakers for events.

The Switch List was launched in recognition of the difficulty in accessing and identifying a diverse pool of speakers for events. This crowd-sourced tool is free to download and showcases speakers from across the sector and the globe. From interns to CEOs, the speakers on this list represent a diverse range of perspectives from different career stages and are passionate about a wide range of energy topics.

The Women in Wind program joins RenewableUK in strongly encouraging women to sign up themselves and also recommend their colleagues for the list, so that industry can engage better with female leaders for conferences, events and workshops. The Switch List was created in line with RenewableUK’s pledge to feature at least 30% female Speakers, Panellists and Chairs at their events.
