About Ann

Ann Margret Francisco assumes the role of Philippine Country Manager at the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). With 17 years of experience in the Philippine power industry, Ann has experience with both the government and private sector. She began her career in 2006 in the public sector as an energy trader for the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management before moving to the private sector. For 10 more years, she set up trading and settlement teams, helped manage several traditional and RE asset portfolios and supported RES firms in their business models. Since 2016, she has focused on RE projects and business development, aligning with the Philippines’ RE targets. 

Before joining GWEC, Ann worked as a market advisor for local RE firms and served as the main PH consultant of the global consulting firm, ERM. She was also a board officer for the Philippine Hydro Developers Association in 2023. Her experience in both government and private sectors has given her a deep understanding of the energy landscape. Currently in GWEC, Ann supports the wider industry and local associations through workshops, policy papers, and focus group discussions.
