Wind energy has firmly established itself as a mainstream technology and is now the cheapest power option to add new capacity to the grid in an increasing number of markets. Wind power plays a key role in mitigating carbon emissions,  enhancing energy security associated with the continued reliance on imported fossil fuels and in providing new jobs, investment and boost to our economies.
The new Global Wind Energy Outlook 2014 presents three visions of the future of the global wind energy industry out to 2020, 2030 and up to 2050 showing how the global wind industry will deliver in terms of covering global electricity demand, new jobs, CO² emission savings, cost reductions & investment rates, offshore development, and more.
