GWEC to expand its local team in China

As China is set to continue its leading role in the global wind market, having someone on the ground in Beijing will be key to open up new business opportunities for GWEC members and be part of the energy transition in the country.
With that, Mr. Wanliang Liang has joined GWEC as our new China Director. As an industry veteran, Wanliang has been following the Chinese wind market for more than a decade and provided market research and advisory services for the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, then for KK Wind Solution and FTI Consulting.
Wanliang will now bring his skills and extended business network in China to GWEC, where he will play a leading role in maintaining and developing GWEC’s activities in China as well as contributing to GWEC’s growing Market Intelligence service.
Wanliang lives in Beijing, speaks fluent Chinese and English, and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA degree from Tsinghua University, China.
