The global wind power could reach 2,000GW by 2030, according to a 2014 edition of the Global Wind Energy Outlook released by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and Greenpeace International.
According to the report, the wind power is expected to reach 2,000GW by 2030, and supply up to 17-19% of global electricity, creating over 2 million new jobs and reducing CO2 emissions by more than 3 billion tons per year.
The wind power could provide 25-30% of global electricity supply by 2050, according to the report which highlights three future visions of the global wind energy industry out to 2020, 2030 and up to 2050.
