With its significant and sizeable offshore wind potential, and strong industrial capabilities, Japan can be an offshore wind leader and seize the Asian offshore wind opportunity. Japan is well placed to be able to capitalize on these advantages, and deploy offshore wind at scale for both the production of power and green hydrogen.

The 2023 Global Offshore Wind Summit – Japan organised jointly between JWPA and GEWC will convene the industry is convening to look at the future for offshore wind in Japan.

As pre-events, a boat tour of Goto floating offshore wind farm (under construction) on October 9th and 10th, and a tour of offshore wind power facilities in Kitakyushu city on October 11th will be planned.
