Around the Regions | World Bank Study Tour: Latin America & the Caribbean
GWEC'S GLOBAL MARKETS THEATRE AT WINDENERGY HAMBURG
Exclusive presentations from the World Bank Group Offshore Wind delegates
2021 was a record year for LATAM and GWEC expects 2022 to be another strong year for the region. However, the outlook for the next five years is less favourable with a drop in annual installations, leading to a likely plateau in growth (with annual installations ranging from 4-5GW), as a result of the slow-down in key markets such as Mexico and Argentina.
In this session we go around the regions with WBG delegates from Latin America and the Caribbean who will provide a brief overview of the status of offshore wind in their respective countries and the audience will be able to ask questions and network with the delegates.
Moderated by Mark Leybourne, Co-Lead of the World Bank Group’s Offshore Wind Development Program at World Bank/ESMAP
