Green hydrogen is a fast-growing area of interest and ambition among nations as a central pillar in their decarbonization plans. National strategies have been paired with public-private MOUs and grant programmes to accelerate cost reduction. The sector is seen as a potential game-changer for the transition, incentivising and accelerating the deployment of large-scale renewable generation such as offshore wind.
The wind industry is embracing the challenge to generate cost-competitive hydrogen from wind energy at scale. Just how soon the industry can achieve that goal will depend on the success of the first demonstrator projects in this space.
This session looks at some of the companies leading the way in green hydrogen and Power-to-X applications, and their plans for the future.
