We’ve got an interesting programme lined up with the first day starting with a session on global market developments, chaired by Steve Sawyer (GWEC), with panelists: Shi Pengfei (CWEA), Thomas Becker (EWEA), Lori Rugh (AWEA), Morten Dyrholm (Vestas) and Alicia Webb (CEC), sharing their views and forecasts of what we can expect from the wind industry for the next twelve months and beyond.
In the afternoon, Ben Backwell, Chief Editor of Recharge will lead the Entrepreneur Forum focused on finance and market developments, seeking answers to questions such as ‘Is the reason why banks are retreating from lending to wind businesses due to wind curtailment affecting the rate of return?’.
Also on the 16th we have the International Energy Agency IEA launching their Wind Energy Roadmap from 15:30-16:30.
The first part of the second day will see Steen Broust Nielsen, MAKE’s Director & Partner, drive discussions around challenges and solutions for manufacturers. Moreover, international industry experts from VTT, Azure International, China Suntien Green Energy Co, State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid will aim to seek solutions to the curtailment and grid issues experienced in the past couple of years. This entrepreneur session will take place on the afternoon of the second day.
