European renewable associations will analyze their international experience on Wind Farms’ Life Extension on 9th October at AEE´s event




Representatives of the renewable associations of France, Portugal and Denmark will analyze the experiences of these countries on wind farms´ life extension and repowering at the Spanish Wind Energy Association´s event on October 9th in Madrid. This international vision will offer an exchange of experiences to the participants of the 3rd International Summit on Wind Farms´ Life Extension, as well as different perspectives for producers and technologists. The future of wind farms in operation is closely linked to regulatory conditions but also to resources and technologies. The last session of AEE´s conference will analyze the state of the art of three countries that, together with Germany, have a similar situation, which can be used to evaluate strategic lines and possible collaborations with Spanish companies.

Olivier Perot, CEO of France Energie Eolienne; José Medeiros, Secretary General of the Portuguese renewable association APREN; and Jakob Juul, Head of Division of Danish Energy Agency, will analyze the following topics in one of the round tables of the event:

  • Specific regulations for repowering
  • Treatment of life extension: diagnostic procedures, incidence in the operation of wind farms
  • Exchange of experiences, integrated supplies

 

Opening speech by General Secretary of Industry and SMEs

The General Secretary of Industry and SMEs of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Raúl Blanco Díaz, will open this event. Rocío Sicre, AEE´s President, will also be in this inaugural session, highlighting that the mission of this event is to share projects and experiences by different agents of the wind sector on operational improvements, repowering and life extension of wind farms.

Promoters, manufacturers, researchers and technicians from national and international wind energy sector will take part in this third edition of the event and they will discuss how to solve the aging of wind farms in Spain in order to maintain its efficiency and long-term profitability.
